Veracruz: Historia gráfica de la esquina del malecón.

Graphic story of the corner of Malecon.
*
The redevelopment of the port of Veracruz was inaugurated in 1902, but because of its size and national importance was much photographed even before completion. So it may be, to some extent, easy to document with pictures each part of the works for the past 110 years.  For now, I have decided to present this graphic summary of the corner of his eye boardwalk importance and historical significance.

Here they spent all passengers arriving and departing from Mexico, at least until the sixth decade of the twentieth century. This was the first point that transit passengers before entering the city and, in general, Mexico.
The corner, still under construction, this photo should be around 1900, it can be seen the big concrete blocks and finished place, the filling still was missing a little.*
On the right, is the first kiosk that was in this place from 1902 to around 1915. The photo is from January 10, 1903, the day they arrived Morelos and Bravo hitter.

Another view of the first kiosk in the corner of the pier, this photo was taken between 1910 and 1915.*

This is the most known corner kiosk, was called "Atlantis", possibly built in 1915 or a little later and remained standing until the 1930s . The photo was taken in the early 1920s.

Overview of the Malecon, the bottom is reached at distiguir the kiosk, without the top cover. Possibly a hurricane destroyed it is also because repair the roof of the building of Health. Photo taken before 1937.

The corner kiosk seen from the sea. Photo taken in the 1930s. This can best see the kiosk and preenta degree of deterioration, as you can see the lack of cover.

Around 1940 (about 5 years), the kiosk "Atlantis" was destroyed and rose in the same place a circular on erection, it does not know if I had worked as a kiosk or other use.

Near 1952 photo, the tower of Bank of Mexico (now Tower PEMEX) was completed on the corner of the pier, there is a major construction, but if a small one that was there for many years.

The corner of the boardwalk in the 1960s, with vehicular and pedestrian pathway. In the right corner you can see the small building that was in the corner. I do not know his exact role, but I guess should run like a business.
*
In the 1980s in the corner an obelisk in honor of the sailors, it remained there until 2001, when the municipal council destroyed rose.

The town hall built in the corner of a dancing fountain boardwalk. I do not remember the exact date of its construction, the author of the photo, states that the volume in 2005, more or less.
